No new sportscar, or leaving buttons open on my shirt, or hanging out with younger people, but I think I'm going through a mid-life crisis. My wife and I were talking about it the other night as I slumped down on the couch tired and exhausted. The dog quickly jumped on me, licking my ear to remind me that there was to be no rest that evening.
There are times when you reflect on where you been, where you are now, and where you hope to go. This is one of those times for me. Our oldest son is entering middle school, my body constantly aches, and the calendar reminds me that I am getting older. The potential is there for me to become a complaining, grumpy guy.
Can a mid-life crisis be good? Well the 'crisis' part probably can't be, but the reflection is changing my outlook for the future. I'm going to concentrate more on my relationships, looking out for other's interests, and growing as a person. I'm also going to continually reflect on what God wants to be doing in my life and going deeper with Him.
As you relect on your life, what is your outlook for the future?

So, how is your resolution going Brian? Let me know.
Who am I?
I attend Rock Harbor church in Costa Mesa, CA. I stumbled on your blog and read some entries, including this one. From what I've heard from all my pastors, your resolution is where a Christian's heart ought to be at.
Be well, brother, and take care.
Jonathan,
Things are going well. My priorities continue to be moving the direction I believe God is leading me.
Thanks for reading and following up. Because we have the name Rock Harbor, I have connected with a lot of different people from Costa Mesa and the Rock Harbor you attend. Blessings.
