This summer, I have been teaching a series on the life of David and his experiences. We find them in the bible in I & II Samuel. There are so many lessons to learn from this man as God took David's successes and failures and molded him into someone who did great things for God.
My jobs have always put me in a position where I have the opportunity to help shape people. What a responsibility! But recently, I've been taking a look at how God has shaped me. He has certainly used different people and experiences to make me the person I am today.
So I've talked with some of them, thanked them, let them know how God has used them in my life. It's been a blessing to hear their stories and to catch up on what we shared.
Now I look to the future! Who will God use now? In what lives will He use me as a tool for shaping?
I invite you to take a minute and reflect. Who has God used in your life and what lives do you have influence in? Set aside some time and pray for those people, or drop them a little thank you note.
