What if we all did something this Christmas totally out of the ordinary? Maybe it’s buying a $2 cup of coffee and giving the barista a $20 tip. Or going into a restaurant on Christmas Day and paying for the meal of a single parent eating with their children.
It doesn’t have to cost money either. Plenty of our neighbors would be encouraged by a Christmas card made especially for them with an encouraging note inside. How about the person working at the gas station on Christmas Eve night? There are probably several things we could do to show them that they are not forgotten. That this celebration is not only about those home with family.
But why would we do any of this? What is the point?
“For God so loved the world that He sent His only Son…” It was the perfect gift, meeting our greatest need, and given from an attitude and heart of love. If He did this for us, we certainly can demonstrate His love for others in a tangible way too.
So, how are you going to “Love All” this Christmas? And if you have a story to tell, post it in the comments below.
Merry Christmas!
