Practice What You Preach

Today was a pretty difficult day. Started out with an early meeting in which I was immediately forced to make some decisions. Through the day, it seemed like more and more choices, decisions, and forks in the road would appear right in front of me. Maybe I was just aware of it more or looking for it.

At Rock Harbor yesterday, I talked about making wise decisions using the truths taught in the book of Proverbs. I almost didn’t get to share the message. Driving over the icy roads led to someone running into a transformer and knocking out the power at the location in which we meet. Since the power was not back on by our 10am start time, people went home. When the power returned around 10:15am, those still there asked me to share.

This was one of those days when I was tested to see if I listened to my own message. We’re still in process, so I’ll let you know how it turns out.

I encourage you to make godly decisions today. I was in the audience once when USC professor Dallas Willard was asked how we can best follow God. His response, “make the next right decision in God’s eyes.”
