I went to the store where it was bought and took my free flying lesson. Then, it was back home to buzz it around the house. The store owner told me most people crash and destroy it within the first 15 minutes. I'm really good though, it took me 20.
It's been repaired and I'm flying it better. The controls which once seemed so difficult to use, are becoming more natural and almost second nature. It doesn't crash nearly as often now.
Which reminds me... learning to live our lives in relationship with God can be so difficult. We crash and burn in the first couple of minutes. Through perseverance, it becomes more natural. Then we have the freedom to fly (but I still crash, just not nearly as often).

I enjoyed your story of the helicopter and the application dealing with perseverence. Unfortunately we give up too quickly when times are difficult. We sure learn from the Bible of Israel's lack of FAITH. Recently I was reminded that in times of trouble, we need to ask: What can I learn from this struggle to apply to my life in serving the Lord. (Usually it is on WHY did this happen?)
