I remember being in elementary school when they brought the big “earth ball” out for PE. As a small student, the 6 or 7 foot in diameter ball seemed gigantic to me, and it was! The teacher formed two teams and we began playing a simple game like soccer by trying to push the ball into the opponent’s goal. I was the goalie and soon saw the ball coming quickly at me and the goal I was defending. Showing little fear (this is me telling the story, so I can include this assumption), I stepped in the path of the oncoming ball to stop it and push it the opposite direction.
You can probably guess what happened next. I learned a science lesson about momentum. Instead of stopping the ball and reversing its direction, the ball continued into the goal carrying me with it, head over heels. Apparently, my friends found this quite amusing.
At Rock Harbor, we are experiencing a good season of ministry. I have received great feedback on the worship music, teaching, and the impact of our Community Groups in people’s lives. For this, we are thankful to God and give Him the praise.
So let’s keep it going and build on the momentum this spring. I hope you will plan on joining us at 10am these coming weeks as we work hard to bring you meaningful experiences which give you the opportunity to connect with God and others.
