- The Holy Spirit did a great work through Acts 12 and the principles in that passage. Many of our people were challenged to live out our calling as Christians and not wait, wait, wait.
- After the morning service, a bunch of parents gathered around tables to hear about the upcoming summer for our student ministry. It is always good to hear of the growth in student's lives and the opportunities for future growth as well. I was just a parent of an 8th grade son in this meeting and not a pastor (which is a huge shift after 15 years of leading student ministry).
- During the afternoon, a grade school girl brought family and friends to our backyard as our youth pastor baptized her in our hot tub. How cool is that (or hot in this case)? I love seeing people give their lives to Jesus and publically let everyone know.
- Later that day, while simply running errands, I was able to spend some quality time with Anthony, my oldest son. I am so proud of him and the man he is becoming. And I know this... my wife gets the credit too for letting him know what a real man is.
I have a lot to be thankful for... to God be the glory!
